Krista was immersed in the arts at the early age of 4, enrolling in music and dance lessons. She first starred as Gretel at age 6 in a community theatre production. She continued to pursue voice, piano, violin and flute privately, while joining choirs, theatre productions and bands in her home province of Alberta.
A graduate of Acadia University with a Bachelor of Music (Vocal and Piano Performance) as well as a Bachelor of Education, she has played lead roles as “Dinah” in Trouble in Tahiti, “Sandy” in Grease and “Maria” in The Sound of Music. Past performances as a featured soloist include Handel’s Messiah and Fauré’s Requiem.
Krista has been an active church soloist, organist, dinner theatre performer and accompanist. She has toured New York, Scotland, England, and throughout Alberta with various choirs. She now resides on Isle Madame in beautiful Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, teaching music and art for the Strait Regional School Board as well as instructing private voice and piano lessons.
